Last Day in London
Last day of class today, bittersweet - Ima miss you girls. But also oh so excited to come home. It was a whirlwind of touring and working. This summed it up pretty well:  That’s a lot of projects! And to wrap it all up, a real live English tea party, complete with Kate and Will tote bag that the goodies were brought in with. Followed by a walk to the pub around the corner with our tutors...

Explanation of Stonehenge - wise words from the tour guide who upon stepping onto the bus proclaimed “Smile! Some of us have been to Stonehenge more than once this week…”

…That’s me. I ride buses alone to see ancient monolithic configurations in the pouring rain, AND LIKE IT. I thought this picture summed it up pretty well, dreary & miserable - hardly able to see through the umbrellas.  Luckily the weather cleared up for the second part of the tour, the ancient city of Bath. The town Jane Austen apprently hated living in, and the part time...

Setting some Type
Yesterday we were given the option to hang out in the morning with an old-fashioned letterpress kind of man, named Nick. My session was a smaller group, only 4 if us showing up to get our hands dirty (literally). Also, now I know the origin of “Mind your Ps and Qs!” - they all look quite similar when mixed up together in a box… not to mention Bs and Ds, all lowercase of course. ...

A busy weekend
I packed a lot in last weekend. Galleries, wandering, mostly galleries. The perk about doing things alone is that you can go at your own pace, and stop for a street crepe and juice whenever wherever and eat it on the sidewalk.  I’ve also been meeting up with some interesting people from my class! Like these wonderful ladies for Uruguay! We poked around in some shops after class, isn’t...

A British Side-note
Is it necessary to have 8 variations of coin amount? From left to right, 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, 1£, 2£…. Just imagine all the possibilities.  Also, have yet to decipher this one. Cheers!

I quickly caught the Wednesday night rollerbladers again this week. I was slow getting out my camera and then had to rush to cross the street- all adding up to a sickness inducing video. Enjoy!

CSM: Class Day 2
Ok! So here I am in London now, living in some dorms off of Tavistock park. Today was my second day of class, and it went a little like this: A field day with giant sketchpads. We walked into Soho, the Berwick St Market, and were let loose to draw, collect pictures, and explore the area for an upcoming zine project. It’s a quirky neighborhood, lots of fruit and veg, flower, fish stands...
